This vintage postage stamp from the Republic of Ireland has a value of two and half pingin equivalent to the British penny. Between 1922 when Ireland was partitioned and Eire became a Nation State and 1998 when the Euro was introduced, the currency was known as punt (pound), scilling (shilling) and pingin (penny).
